[PG] [NSFW] Film Titles That Take on a New Meaning

edited September 2010 in Forum Games
I was listening to the The Nerdist Podcast with Jonathan as a Guest and they mentioned a game they played with John Hodgman.
I thought it might be fun to play on the forums. It is a little PG rated though....

Think of film titles that take on a whole new plotline when you assume the film is about poo!

Here are some to get you started (that I nicked from the podcast):
The Whole Nine Yards
A river runs through it
Speed 2
Rear Window

If someone wants to list the rest, that would help, I'm working from memory.

Really you guys? I thought that one would be obvious.

PG (at least in the US) tends to mean that it is for a younger audience. And if NWS means Not Work Safe (I think it does) then the more common term would be NSFW (Not Safe For Work, again, where I am in the US.)

What does PG stand for? Parental Guidance. In the UK (and logically) it means not for younger children, but not too bad. I put Not Safe For Work just to be sure I didn't offend anyone (or get them fired), but it's not that bad, and to be fair, young children make poop jokes all the time.
  • Some like it hot
    Chocolat
    Bad Taste
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

The tags were different acronyms than I am used to, as NWS is usually NSFW. In US culture (at least where I live) if you say that something is "PG" the implication is that it was meant for a younger audience, as almost nothing is rated G. I don't actually care, just commenting on how the tags would be perceived by someone with my POV. They still got the point across though, and there isn't really a need to change them. ;P

  • We Bought a Zoo is a movie? Wow, I'd gathered from Twitter that some crazy rich actor had actually bought a zoo. The world is now a less magical place for me. :(
  • No, you're right, @Angelastic -- read this Twitter feed from the bottom up, please please please: http://twitter.com/weboughtaz00
  • Ah, yes, this all looks familiar. Sounds like a case of 'I bought the zoo and the zoo won.'

I'm still disappointed that I don't live in a world where Matt Damon bought a zoo. I didn't think that was his real twitter feed, but I thought it was someone making fun of him for really buying a zoo. I thought maybe he wanted to drink the tigers' blood or something. But I'll take solace in the fact that it is in fact a hilarious movie about poo.
