(wow, it's hard to believe how old this interwebs thing is getting. I first saw that image in black & white, and it took up a quarter of my screen. Ahhh, nostalgia.)
(Macintosh PowerBook 145B, 1997. The first web server, which was indeed made by NeXT, has a bigger screen, but The Onion wasn't around back then, despite their claims)
Delicious fibericious apple cookies (completely different song, I know, but that's what came to mind.)
(I fell asleep last night thinking "Whatever happened to the Word Association Thread?" Then imagining Bry's reaction should I bring it back from the dead. Sorry Bry. It is the old family curse cropping up again- I need to do one evil, wretched thing every, um...I won't say how often, tht way you will never know when I will strike again!)

My reaction: Fine, you guys do what you want -- I can't deny I'm less happy than I was before your post, but if this is your idea of entertainment, I won't begrudge you it.
Bry- any chance of you being at the Birchmere show in February? I will make extra cookies for you if you are there (I like to feed performers, so I brought cookies to the last JoCo show there and to the P&S one nearby a few months back). I do good cookies, really.

You know, I hadn't actually seriously contemplated it, but this -- this might be possible. I'd have to take the day off to make it there Friday night, and now that I look at it it's almost tempting to take the day before off and make it to the Fountains of Wayne acoustic show on Thursday night, and now that I look at that it's almost tempting to take the week before off and catch the Jayhawks (well, Gary Louris and Mark Olson from the Jayhawks) the previous Tuesday... haha, it'd be a stretch even to make it to the JoCo show, but I won't rule it out. (Actually, Boston's got a pretty good concert scene too, I hear, and both those acts are playing here in February anyway.)
When I went to the Birchmere show in '07, I was visiting a friend who no longer lives in the area; I'd have to see about finding a place to spend Friday night. If I can arrange that, then I might make a weekend of it, ask for Friday off, and head back Saturday morning (or night). This is all theorizing at the moment -- it remains to be seen whether any of this will actually happen.
I have a spare bedroom, you are welcome to crash here a couple of nights. More than two and I start charging rent, mind you...otherwise come on down. I am 30 minutes south of the venue depending on traffic, easy to find just off of I-95. One husband, one small dog, two computers and a laptop in case you start needing a internet fix.

(I never knew what piggly wiggly was, but knew that fake lorries of theirs were part of the scheme used to cover up the landing in CE3K!)
Because if you look carefully at Tom Servo's base...
(Angelastic-Close Encounters of the Third Kind- it had me stumped until Cov talked about fake lorries.)
For some reason I thought Cov was talking about fake lorikeets.
In answer to the question "What kind of cigars do you smoke?"
That is TOO a word...kinda.
