On the subway today, a man came up to me to start a conversation. He made small talk, a lonely man talking about the weather and other things. I tried to be pleasant and accommodating, but my head hurt from his banality. I almost didn't notice it had happened, but I suddenly threw up all over him. He was not pleased, and I couldn't stop laughing.
You see? It's curious. Ted did figure it out - time travel. And when we get back, we're gonna tell everyone. How it's possible, how it's done, what the dangers are. But then why fifty years in the future when the spacecraft encounters a black hole why does the computer call it an 'unknown entry event'? Why don't they know? If they don't know, that means we never told anyone. And if we never told anyone it means we never made it back. Hence we die down here. Just as a matter of deductive logic.
I am not sure whether I remember the name of the movie, and I'm not sure whether that quote is really from it either, but is it Sphere? Or The Sphere, or something like that?
Okay, this is for some reason the only quote that comes to mind whenever people mention movie quotes, and I don't know whether it's because it's incredibly well-known, or just because my friend and I watched that movie too many times:
Attention K-mart shoppers. Blue light special, aisle thirteen: cookies.

Take a hit of nitrous oxide, turn off the lights and say the line.
For one embarrassing moment, I thought we were in the "10 words" thread and I started frantically rummaging through my mental collection of JoCo songs, trying to figure out which one that was the plot to. (Never mind that it's more than ten words.) Off to bed, is my conclusion.
Countdown. If we get to 1 before mtgordon posts a new quote then that means at least 5 people are paying attention and somone else can post a quote instead so we can keep the game going.
Someday, and that day may never come, I'll call upon you to do a service for me. But, until that day, accept this justice as a gift on my daughter's wedding day.

I'll let someone else get it though. I'm not going to be around.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
Here's something easy, so I can go away...
Its Sphere.

...no idea about your quote though.
One of those odd movies that I never think to buy, but when it's on I stop everythng and watch it.

I haven't even seen the film, but it was obvious.
Another easy one...I think.
You remind me of the babe.
What Babe?
The babe with the power.
What power?
The power of voodoo.
Who do?
You do.
Do what?
Remind me of the babe.
Impatient, or do you just have a really great quote you want to use? :P
Probably not, but it was the first movie that came to mind.
All yours, Rich.
