Just a quick note to let y'all know that we're running yet another puzzle hunt this year! Visit http://snout.org/timequest for details.

The basics, for those who don't like clicking links:

  • The 4th annual JoCo Cruise Crazy puzzle hunt, T.I.M.E. QUEST, is an event in which you solve a set of unique puzzles for fun.
  • Teams are encouraged. We believe puzzle-solving is best enjoyed with friends!
  • Each T.I.M.E. QUEST puzzle will require creative thinking to find its hidden message.
  • Solvers will earn a wearable button and stickers as they progress through the hunt.
  • Events very similar to this one happened on JCCC1, JCCC2, and JCCC3.

For more information, links to past puzzles, and a peek at the code sheet, visit http://snout.org/timequest.

Comments

  • No questions, just: Yay!
  • Even though I have never managed to solve ALL of the puzzles (even with friends), the Puzzle Hunt is one of my favorite parts of the cruise, hands down.
  • Aww... thanks everyone! We love running these hunts, and we hope this year will be lots of fun and more accessible to novices. Tell your friends! :)

This is cool! Thanks for taking all this time just to make the cruise better! I can't wait to try these. :D
  • This is cool! Thanks for taking all the time to make the cruise cooler for everyone. I can't wait to try my luck at solving these! :D
  • Ooh, looks like fun!
  • I too have failed utterly in the past, but look forward to future failures (and the thrilling rare successes!)

Failure is not an option! Especially since this year's theme is time travel. :)

Please feel free to approach anyone wearing a TIME QUEST "Mission Control" ribbon at any time during the cruise--we want you to have fun with these puzzles, and we'll do whatever we can to help!

  • A time travel puzzle? I think I solved that next year already. ;-)
  • Although I believe failure is always an option ;) I vow to make a better effort at puzzle hunt this year.
  • Anyone who isn't sure how to proceed (or get started) with any puzzle is encouraged to seek out a T.I.M.E. QUEST supervising officer (look for black-and-gold "Mission Control" ribbons) for assistance. We're here to help!

  • I just want to say again that I absolutely LOVED these puzzles and they were one of the top highlights of my Cruise!

Can you tell me again what the link was to that puzzle hunt calender? I seem to have written it down wrong.

Thanks again for all of your hard work!
  • I am with @Rishie! Thank you, T.I.M.E. QUEST team, for putting this together. You all are awesome! :) My husband and I are kicking ourselves for being too shy to take part in the puzzle hunts on previous JCCCs.
  • Thanks @ghalidrim! Obviously I was sleep deprived when I tried it after I got off the boat if I couldn't string three words together and make them into a website... well that's embarrassing...
  • No problem, we were all pretty sleep deprived by the end there :)
