Loop Pedals

Hey everyone! I own a loop pedal (a Boss RC-20XL) that I am completely incompetent in using. I understand the fundamentals, though it always seems like my loops end up off-tempo with the weird silence at the end instead of seamlessly looping. I know that I need a lot more practice, but I figured I could ask if anyone else uses one of these and if they had any tips on how to improve my looping ability.

    I have used these with mixed results. I would recommend a looping app (for a PC, smartphone, or tablet) rather than pedals, which can be clunky. A new version of the most popular one for Apple iOS -- Loopy -- was just released a few days ago. YMMV, but you may like it so much that you retire the pedal.
